[Let Them Rest in Peace Articles News] It is true that Wikis are open to abuse, but by design, it is very easy for a Wiki moderator or other editor to revert the Wiki to how it appeared prior to edits, essentially rolling back the Wiki and removing any content deemed inappropriate or unrelated. Many Wikis track the IP address of visitors and editors, making it easy to track changes and roll back any edits from individuals that appear to be abusing their privileges.

[ghacks technology news] Edit Wiki entries in OpenOfice: For me this extension will only become an option when it supports image uploading, since I find MediaWiki’s picture handling a bit weird and hard to get used to as is. [Gridlock - Just another KM Blog] Wikis in organizations: While conventional thinking does give pause to the approach taken, the underlying thought here is that the constructiveness of users far outweights their destructiveness, and so far this has proved to be true. However there have been a number of controversies that have sprung up as a result of this, mostly dealing with two opposing views around a subject which after numerous edits and counter edits end up being locked down by moderators.
[Writerswrite.com's Writer's Blog] A Million Penguins Can't Write a Good Novel: A wiki can be set-up so that anyone can contribute to the wiki or edit existing content on the wiki. Wikis may be useful for certain types of collaborative writing projects but a wiki fiction left open to all web users is highly unlikely to succeed and very vulnerable to trolls.
[Susan Crawford blog] The mashable wiki: indeed, a key concept behind wiki-ness is that anyone can edit and make the wiki wiser, and we don’t force people to edit in particular ways.
