[Communications From Elsewhere] Given how little anyone cared about a legitimately crazy person making death threats, I was surprised this morning to read the story of a University of Florida grad student being hassled by his university police for having written a short story from the point of view of a stalker and murderer. I’d contact the UFL University Relations office to see if they’ve got a prepared statement about this incident, but the only contact information I can find is a phone number, and it’s a little late to be calling Florida.

And think on how Blair's Labour Party in England is attempting to bring in a national DNA database by the back door and his cronies in the Scottish executive would very much like to but have been forced to pare back their ideas because they only govern in tandem with the Liberal Democrats who told them no. Were gleeful that the University of Florida, after years of making ads of exactly the type described above, finally shelled out some dough, subcontracted, andproduced an ad that not only is shot on film, but is actually kinda marketing savvy (via Cosmos)
