News.com.comhttp://news.com.com [News.com.com] Congress caught making false entries in Wikipedia | News.blog ...: It's true, of course, that the cretins who are behind the Wikipedia alterations can (and probably will) do this from their home computers in the future. But the difficulty in policing the political class shouldn't make us any less alarmed at the most recent evidence of its misdeeds.

http://www.cadenhead.org [Cadenhead.org] Workbench: Adam Curry Caught in Sticky Wiki: I understand that you made this post in your personal blog and so you have the right to print what you will, I'm just saying that by writing it about the goings on in a wiki you are also foraying into the realm of the wiki culture and should respect the social rules of that culture. Also just to be a decent journallist (and I dont mean professional by that) you should try to state your opinion as opinion, not as fact or inescapable conclusion.

[Megginson.com] Quoderat » Wikipedia URLs as blog subject codes: If people keep linking to Wikipedia, search engines like Technorati and aggregators like Bloglines might start taking advantage of those links to do some automatic categorization, right down to offering links to other postings on the same subject (”Click here for other postings about Open Source“). Once people know the search engines are doing that, they’ll be bound to link to Wikipedia even more than they already are, creating a virtuous circle where both Wikipedia and the blogsphere become more valuable.

Ysearchblog.com[Ysearchblog.com] Yahoo! Search blog: Jimmy Wales on Wikipedia and Yahoo!: Putting aside the usual retorts against anti-Wikipedians (take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Replies_to_common_objections for that), I believe I speak on behalf of many of the most dedicated contributors of Wikipedia when I say that we greatly value Yahoo's contribution, not only for the improved user experience it will offer readers here and abroad, but for how it will encourage Asians to take a more active part in becoming contributors to Wikipedia, particularly the Japanese and Chinese Wikipedias. Perhaps this exposure to knowledge and this glimpse of a true gift economy will also demonstrate to those under an oppressive government the promises that have gone unfulfilled.
